Dear customers,

Thank you for your continuing support of our school. Unfortunately, due to a shortage of instructors, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close the Children's Courses and all class schedules are postponed until further notice.

Since the beginning of the Pandemic, many Japanese schools have had difficulty keeping their staff, and we are no exception. We have always endeavored to have instructors who are native speakers, but many have returned to Japan to be with their families now that Japan’s travel restrictions have been relaxed. We have been actively trying to find replacements and successfully hired one new instructor in May. While still short staffed compared to our usual numbers, we tried to be ready for the new school year with 3 instructors. However, the newly hired instructor withdrew her application due to a change in her family situation that prevented her from being available every Saturday.

Furthermore, another existing instructor has been advised by her doctor to take a leave of absence. This lack of staffing makes it impossible to adequately cover the first semester of new school year.

Even though we are not able to offer any lessons at Mirai Nihongo Gakuin at this time, we can provide some references so that students can keep learning the Japanese language. If you would like to receive it, please contact us via email mirai.nihongo.gakuin@gmail.com. We hope it will be helpful for you.

We sincerely apologize for all inconveniences and thank you for your understanding of our current situation. While we do not have a schedule for reopening at this time, Mirai does hope to offer children’s courses in the coming year. We look forward to when Mirai Nihongo Gakuin can welcome back children and their families to our campus.

Sincerely,

PJCI Board Members
